The Introduction of TamaTown Toys means the end of Tamagotchi

Tamagotchi has been renamed TamaTown Tama-Go.The CEO’s at Bandai have gone and totally revamped the beloved virtual pet, giving it the new name of TamaTown Tama-Go to match that of the already existing Tamatown toys virtual world.

There have been very minimal changes to the purpose of the toy -- you still have to remember to keep your little character well fed and rested -- the $20 pocket able keychain has morphed into an Easter egg shaped device with a slightly larger and higher contrast four-grayscale display.

Why make a portable device larger than before? Well to accommodate attachable collectible figures, of course! TamaTown figures attach to the top of the Tama-Go and are preloaded with two character specific games and goods. These sorts of changes are better processed in images (and dreams), so hit the gallery at Tamatown Toys for more figures than you can (probably) handle.

Tama Go

The Tamatown Tama-Go's are an amazing virtual pet that kids aged 6 and up will love to interact with.

The egg-shaped game comes preloaded with activities like feeding, playing, potty training, and more.You'll have access to special games and features.

Slide the included Gotchi character into the slot at the top of the Tama-Go, and you'll have access to that character's games and features. Navigating the game is simple--use the three buttons to toggle through icons on the menu screen. The Tama-Go game features 10 interactive modes and a date and time function.

Eat, Play, Potty Train, and More with the Tama-Go

This virtual pet is a great way for kids to learn about responsibility and how to care for a pet. Game play involves meeting the needs of the Gotchi character through many nurturing activities, such as games, play, feeding, discipline, potty training, health maintenance, and more. With new, expanded modes, kids can even take their character to the park or the store.

Kids have a direct influence on the Gotchi's personality and appearance, which develop through each stage of life, from infancy to adulthood. The handheld game keeps track of the Gotchi's growth and general status through points that can be used to access extra features on the Tama-Go. Memetchi
Orange and loveable, Memetchi is a stylish and sensitive young Gotchi. Cupcakes are her favorite food, and she dislikes eating fish. Memetchi's most striking visual traits are her big, starry eyes, and the single, springy curl on the top of her head. Her favorite quote is "Dreams should always be big!"

The Tama-Go with Memetchi comes with two additional games: "Shoot The Bugs" and "Long Jumper." Her Tama-Go comes in blue with an interchangeable design faceplate that features pink and blue swirls and different images of Memetchi herself.

Kuchipatchi

The ever-hungry Kuchipatchi is a kind and helpful Gotchi male. Though sometimes lazy, Kuchipatchi also has a romantic streak. This TamaTown resident is easily recognized by his green, pleasantly plump shape. His favorite quote is "Don't wake me up-tchi!"

The Tama-Go with Kuchipatchi comes with two additional games: "Shoot The Bugs" and "Long Jumper." His Tama-Go comes in white with an interchangeable design faceplate that features a rainbow pattern and images of Kuchipatchi eating his favorite brand of potato chips.

Mametchi
Brainy Mametchi is a sincere and polite Gotchi male. Well-liked by the residents of TamaTown, this yellow Gotchi wears a blue cap over his bunny-like ears. His favorite quote is "Not weird, just smart!"

The Tama-Go with Mametchi comes with two additional games: "Shoot The Bugs" and "Long Jumper." His Tama-Go comes in lime green with an interchangeable design faceplate that features a fun, geometric pattern and images of Mametchi himself.

Gotchi

The TamaTown by Tamagotchi Gotchi Figure is one of a collectable Gotchi family for the Tama-Go. These loveable Gotchi figures come with a design faceplate, two games, and more. Tama-Go owners aged 6 and over will expand their Gotchi collection and current Tama-Go gameplay options with this loveable character.

Outspoken Ringotchi is always up for adventure. This cute Gotchi is distinguishable by her bright red apple shape and apple seed eyes. She also loves sweets, and her favorite line is "That sounds like fun!"
